IXPE Underlayments

Material Overview — IXPE
Irradiated cross-linked polyethylene (IXPE) foam is produced by irradiating expanded polyethylene with an electron beam, forming a cross-linked cellular structure. This process produces a foam with a closed-cell architecture that is inherently resistant to moisture ingress, compression set, and mould growth.
The IXPE range from OPUS is available in 2 mm and 3 mm thicknesses, with PE film, aluminium film, and gold film surface coatings. Factory-perforated variants are available for installations requiring enhanced breathability or improved heat transfer performance, such as floating floors over underfloor heating systems.
