Material Overview — EVA
Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam is produced by copolymerising ethylene with vinyl acetate to create a cross-linked closed-cell foam. The copolymer structure gives EVA foam exceptional softness, flexibility, and cushioning properties. With a density of 100 kg/m³, the OPUS EVA range delivers noticeably higher acoustic performance than standard EPE-based underlays.
The 3 mm products in the EVA range are recommended for demanding acoustic applications in residential apartment buildings and mixed-use developments where impact sound transmission through floors must be minimised. All EVA products are compatible with all flooring systems, including laminate, hardwood, bamboo, and vinyl.
