Cork & Rubber Underlayments

Cork and rubber underlayments for applications demanding natural materials, specialist acoustic performance, or underfloor heating compatibility. Three products across two material families, covering a range of installation requirements.

  • EN 16354
  • EN ISO 717-2
  • REACH
  • RoHS

Material Overview — Cork

Cork underlayments are produced from granulated natural cork bonded into a uniform sheet. Cork is a naturally renewable material with excellent compressive strength, thermal insulation, and acoustic damping properties. The cell structure of cork provides inherent resilience, allowing it to recover after compression and maintain its cushioning properties over extended service life.

Cork underlayments are particularly suited for floating floor installations in residential settings where natural materials, thermal comfort, and acoustic performance are priorities. The CORK 20-P product is rated compatible with underfloor heating (UFH) systems, with a low combined thermal resistance that allows efficient heat transfer to the floor surface.

Material Overview — Rubber

Rubber underlayments are produced from recycled and virgin rubber compounds, delivering exceptional durability and high-density sound damping for demanding applications. The high density of rubber (up to 880 kg/m³) provides structural stability and excellent impact sound isolation. Rubber underlayments are particularly suited to heavy use areas, commercial installations, and applications where long-term compression resistance is critical.

  • 880 kg/m³ density
  • High structural stability
  • Impact sound isolation
  • Long-term compression resistance
  • No VOC
